Teachers learn from Realtors®

SPAAR’s REALTORS® Charitable Foundation sponsored the Minnesota Council on Economic Education (MCEE) Industry-Teacher Dinner on June 25.

The dinner brought together speakers who work in real estate, mortgage and financial planning to serve on a panel and share their perspectives on learning about personal finance. Realtor® Guille Garza, who is a SPAAR member, talked about the importance of teaching young people to be financially aware.

Fifty-eight Minnesota teachers recently completed MCEE certification to teach personal finance for high school students. MCEE’s financial literacy certification was sponsored in part by a grant from REALTORS® Charitable Foundation in 2023.
